There is no way I can convey the energy of SCHOOLHOUSE with just words and pictures. On this day, thousands of us will attend the 15 or 30 minute sessions. With only 5 minutes between classes, we'll be rushing from room to room in the convention hall...
Many of us have rolling totes, in order to keep track of the handouts,
patterns, books, gifts, instructions, business cards, pamphlets, etc.
that we will be collecting.... |
It started off with a mass class, given by the Like Sew website team. (See Rhonda, photo-bombing?) |
The Like Sew boys (Brian, Milo, Gordon) -- started their session off with a hilarious zombie video. They were VERY well received...
Rhonda and I got there early enough (first 700) to receive a ticket for a free tote... |
It is ALWAYS great to see old friends. Anita and Anne from Country Stitches in Lansing, Michigan. |
Everybody covets the soft Cuddle totes from Shannon Fabrics... |
You can tell what's hot by the number of people in the room....or spilling out into the hallway... |
The teachers discuss their new books, or patterns, or line of fabrics...sometimes they have a PowerPoint (risky) |
Other times, they rely on a cute guy in shorts to hold up their stuff (good call, Mary) |
You might worry that, by the end of the day, after attending a dozen of these session, we'd be TOO EXHAUSTED...
But you would be wrong. Over 1000 people were in this room for the last presentation of the day... |
So -- who or what could possibly be that popular???
