Baby and Doll Quilts

Who could resist this? At an auction this summer, I bought a box containing two small quilts. This one was clearly embroidered by a beginner (maybe a child) -- and then was put together to make a small quilt for a doll bed...

The little squares are SO CHARMING..

The second quilt was a larger crib size. Made entirely of white and lilac. It is beautiful.

This quilt will be a great summer cover for Lilly to take a nap under as she gets a little older....or, maybe it will be her favorite "tv coverup" in a few years. (ok -- maybe we should turn the air conditioning down instead?)
