Mary and I are looking forward to a quick weekend job in upstate New York. Here we are -- on the SAME PLANE -- although we had to get up at 4:00 AM to do it...
A beautiful little airport -- Rochester, New York...somebody named Jeff is going to pick us up...
There was a charming Mary Englebrecht-looking-painted bench next to the baggage carousel...
Hummm...the place was kinda empty...where's that Jeff guy? Hey, maybe we have some time to enjoy the exhibits of early American flags...
We left messages at the several contact phone numbers we were given...it's hard to move around with 200 lb of luggage...So we decided to stay put...I'll bet you're wondering what Mary is eating, eh??
See the guy in the blue shirt walking through the door? He was the tenth guy we asked, "are you Jeff?"
Like we were concerned that the men in Rochester were losing their memories..and maybe one of them didn't know his name was Jeff...and forgot he was supposed to give us a ride...
Turns out we had so much time on our hands -- we could've MADE a few new American flags for their display...
(hey, Jeff! I'm sure my readers are looking forward to seeing what you actually look like, eh??)
I, for one, sure was glad that Jeff finally found you! I was so happy to have met you and Mary! Loved your presentation and throughly enjoyed the "sundae" trip.
ReplyDeleteJoyce....long last name LOL
Ah, shucks, Joyce -- you probably say that to ALL YOUR ICE CREAM SUNDAE buddies...we loved the whole weekend. New York State ROCKS
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay, but glad that we finally connected at the airport. It was a lot of fun traveling with you and Mary, and learning about sewing from the Ya Ya Sisters and the rest of the Autumn Adventure crew. Hopefully I redeemed myself by being extra prompt when driving you BACK to the airport on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe Real Jeff!
hey, Jeff!! YOU DON'T THINK I'M DONE WITH YOU, DO YOU??
