The NYC "Final Accounting"

So, to review -- we each put $300 into the "Travel Pot".
And from the first moment we got off the plane --our expenses were paid out of that pot.
The uber ride to and from the airport...
Our subway rides...
Every wonderful meal we ate...or snacks we shared...
Carmine's!!
Katz's..!!
Every cab ride..every bellman tip..."Nicole, you got this?"
It was our last night in New York City. The next day (Tuesday), we had half a day and were headed in two different directions. The young uns (Amy and Nicole) planned to spend the morning at Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. The Senior Team (me and Jackie) was headed down to the Garment District.

On Monday night, when we got back to the hotel from the Stardust Diner, uur banker (Nicole) said it made sense to split up the money left in the pot.   She put back $80 to pay for the uber driver (to the airport).

Then, she counted out the money and made four little piles on her bed of the remaining "cash".

She asked us to GUESS how much we'd each be getting...

Hummm...my guess was $12....

Nope.  I was way off.

We EACH got back $102.00!!

HOLY COW...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

WE ARE SUCH CHEAPSKATES..!!  I was sooo proud...
