A coupla weeks ago, Lillian fell in love with Elizabeth's pet rabbit. As a matter of fact, for about ten seconds, she was ready to get rid of her best friend Sophie to make room for a rabbit in her life...
This is a close-up of the rabbit in question. Thumper....the homewrecking little wench....
Elizabeth decided to take her family to Disneyworld -- which meant somebody had to CHECK ON THUMPER...who was left behind. Lillian was more than eager to help!!
My cousin Kim was actually the Grandma in charge of the rabbit....(Just for the record, Carrie -- I was the one who took him out of the cage.) I was under the impression that he was welcome in the living room...any time....lol...
The SECOND after I took these wonderful pictures -- Thumper jumped out of Lillian's arms and ran under the couch....
We spent the next half hour chasing after Thumper. By that, I mean -- KIM DID. His leap for freedom scared Lillian so much she had no intention of going under furniture to dig him out. And God knows I NEVER HAD ANY PLAN TO actually touch the damned rabbit...
The interesting thing is that this little episode with Thumper put a BIG SMILE on Lilly's face. But, it was like she had her fill. There has been no more talk of getting rid of her dogs so she could get a rabbit...
When it comes to kids, sometimes you just need to give them what they think they want...
