This is my favorite picture of Lilian during their Christmas visit. See the happy look on her face? With her favorite things, her "b" (Sophie is under the blanket), stuffed dog, and the BEAUTIFUL STOCKING Judy embroidered for her? With a picture pocket? AND a zebra cuff?
Well, there aren't many smiles when it's time to get "dressed up". This was Christmas Dress #1...velvet top, red tweed skirt with matching coat, trimmed with white fake fur...($2.38 at the Goodwill)...she was not all that happy.....
This was Christmas Dress #2...black velvet bodice, red taffeta skirt...($3.98 at the Thrift store in Clinton)...she seems to be thinking, "I wonder if this is the LAST dress they'll put on me today?"
Lilly really does NOT like changing clothes...and we're not done yet...she's holding on to her Mom's finger...and the look is saying, "Oh, NO YOU DON'T"...
c'mon, Lilly -- JUST ONE MORE DRESS....Christmas dress #3 -- and my favorite -- because it had little white dog appliques...but you can see THIS WAS THE LAST AND FINAL STRAW...
AND SHE WAS DONE, DONE, DONE with the Grandma Rita Christmas fashion show...
OH WELL...Christmas dresses are like anything else in life, Lillian. Sometimes things just don't work out the way you hoped...
My little white dog/redo/dress didn't last 5 minutes...barely enough time to take the pictures!!
Let's hear it people...that's right.........
NEXT...!!
she is so precious!
