The WAFFLE MAKER

My sister Deena is a BIG FAN of her vintage waffle maker. It makes a gigantic square 12" waffle that can be cut into four waffles...

Recently, she told me to be on the lookout for this style of wafflemaker, because she would be LOST if hers ever quit working. (and it is almost 50 years old).

Of course, the very next weekend -- I FOUND ONE...at an antique mall.  For $4.00.
Although it seemed in great condition, I washed it up and decided to give it a whirl...
It seemed like a great project for me and Warren.
He is SUCH A GOOD HELPER...!!
This first attempt, I poured in too much batter.
The second attempt, I didn't pour in enough batter...
Third try was PERFECT...
This is Warren, giving it "thumbs up"...
Do you see the problem?

Homemade waffles, butter and syrup??

So many wonderful things in my life revolve around delicious, fattening food.

Hey -- I KNOW -- I should go to Fat Camp.

  2. I STILL make waffles on one.....I've had it for over 40 years, inherited it from my Hubby's family.....over 50 years old ...the grills turn over to make a flat surface for pancakes, etc. I need to start looking for another too.....
