It was a Wednesday, so Warren was here. We were doing our usual routine stuff (his favorite thing right now is hiding in his little cave under a table)... when the cable went out.
Bummer. But, hey -- we live in the country. Sometimes it just goes out....but then -- it will come back all by itself...
After a couple of hours, I called Mediacom and they tried to resend a signal. No luck. They'll send a crew out on Thursday...
THURSDAY?? That means 24 hours with no cable...
Double Bummer.
No cable? There's no outage in the neighborhood....What happened to our cable? ...
Three days earlier, a blizzard dumped 24 inches of snow at our house. So, John was trimming the snow covered tree branches and....yep -- he accidentally cut the Mediacom cable, (it was disguising itself as a grape vine).
Here is the exchange of texts between me and Ross that afternoon:
Me: If you're at the library, please bring home some DVD's....your Dad cut the cable.
Ross: WHA? How did he do that?
Me: It was easy. He had a hedge trimmer.
