Miss Iowa

THIS IS SO EXCITING. At a recent luncheon meeting of a local business group I belong to -- Miss Iowa -- Pauli Mayfield -- was our speaker. She is 24 years old, gorgeous, and has a wonderful head on her shoulders...

She was nervous about presenting to a room full of business people -- as her usual audience is between the ages of 8-16 years old. And her most frequent question is, "how do you keep the crown on your head?"

Pauli is a local girl -- from Davenport, Iowa. Here she is with her Mom...who is very proud, of course...

The Miss America pageant is held in January now -- in Las Vegas. This year, it'll be back on a major network. AND I'LL BE ROOTING FOR MISS IOWA...
