Sound of Music and Haters

OMG...what is wrong with people?? NBC actually produces a LIVE MUSICAL -- for the first time in over 50 years. A REAL family night event -- where we will all go to sit in front of our television at the same point in time to watch something really unique and special....

By any measure -- it was a HUGE success, beating out a new episode of the Big Bang theory for the first time in 9 years in this time slot -- garnering an 18% share of the audience. A gutsy, bold experiment that I hope paid off for NBC bigtime...

But what happens? The whole world goes nuts saying Carrie Underwood was a poor choice. Wooden, a great singer, not a good actor, blah, blah, blah. The criticism rose to a hysterical level...and I can't stand it.

The most annoying thing is that even respected journalists (picture the word respected in air quotes) are using comments from hashtag-twitter-idiots. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. THIS TREND IS MAKING ME CRAZY. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? WHAT HAVE THEY EVER DONE??

And I was beyond disappointed when the descendants of the Von Trapp family put Carrie Underwood down because she won American Idol and that makes her more of a "tabloid star".  They said they would have preferred Anne Hathaway??   REALLY??  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Who are you people?? And what have you done since Julie Andrews made your step-mother famous??
