CGC (Coronavirus Grandma Camp)

Children all over America are out of school. I'm certainly not the ONLY GRANDMA who's being tapped to help out with the kiddos in the coming weeks.

So -- WE'VE GOTTA UP OUR GRANDMA GAME, GIRLS...!!

For starters -- here's a website for Scholastic.  They are offering FREE ONLINE CLASSES for the coming weeks.  You pick the grade level, and you'll get 3 hours of age appropriate learning each day.

For most of us -- the challenge is to keep the kids OFF THEIR SCREENS/GAMEBOYS/I-PADS...

I'm not saying this will work every time -- but Lilly and Warren both love playing board games.  You know about my addiction to Bananagrams.  We play it all the time in restaurants, at the park, on the porch...it's so easy to carry around and there's no set-up required, or even scoring.

But another one of their current favorites is Qwirkle.  Honestly -- it's fun for all ages.  And kids as young as 5 will get the hang of it in no time.  It's a shapes and/or colors game -- and we like it a lot.
