Hotel Breakfast Ettiquette

One of the best things about our Mt. Pleasant North Pole adventure was the night we stayed at the motel. It was a lovely Hampton Inn in Muscatine, Iowa. Just an hour away from home -- but THAT WAS PERFECT.

The whole reason for staying in the motel was so that we could GO SWIMMING...

But, there were lots of other experiences that were new for Lilly and Warren.  Lilly took this picture inside the elevator.  (we did several superfluous elevator rides).

Then, too, eating pizza using the ironing board as a dining table.

And the Hampton Inn puts on a terrific breakfast. Lilly LOVED learning how to use the waffle maker.

But -- WHATEVER HAPPENED TO COMMON SENSE, PEOPLE??

In the last ten years or so, I've noticed a very disturbing trend. People come into the breakfast room of motels wearing their pajamas. WHA?? Really -- THAT IS NOT ALLOWED.

Hey -- maybe it's just me. But this is NOT YOUR KITCHEN...you are walking into a public restaurant. GET DRESSED.

I took this picture of Warren -- mostly so I could show you this man who came into the breakfast room WEARING HIS UNDERWEAR...!!

Hey -- we might disagree about whether or not you should wear your pajamas into a motel breakfast room.

But, surely we can all agree that YOU CAN NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES,  GO OUT IN PUBLIC WEARING YOUR UNDERWEAR!!
