THANKS again for voting for Mason!! At the end of the day, he finished in the #2 spot. Which I think is pretty darn good -- but apparently, "close" only counts when you're playing a game of horseshoes...(God knows it's worthless when you're putting in buttonholes...)
Kelcy said the #1 baby will go to NYC for sure -- and the Parents magazine committee will choose another 9 kids to go as well. The 10 chosen babies will all get a trip to New York City and be part of the "cover photo shoot". Then, the editors will pick the actual winner for the cover.
So, Mason still has a chance of being selected.
But it was fun to VOTE for Mason...and, frankly, I think he's too young to appreciate New York City.
Kelcy and Mason will be SO BUSY for the next coupla weeks, they won't have a chance to be sad about not winning. Kelcy's husband, Andy, returns from his tour of Iraq at the end of the month. The Army sent him home for a few weeks when Mason was born -- but, of course, he has been sorely missed.
Send me a picture of the homecoming, Kelcy!!
